From 1st to 3rd of December we'll be at 3D Stereo Media in Liège (Belgium)
From 1 to 3 December 2009, the eyes of the world of 3D will be focused on the “Palais des Congrès” (Convention Center) of the “fiery” City of Liège, Belgium, right in the heart of Europe. There, two conference rooms of 500 and 250 seats will be equipped with 3D-stereo projection systems.

Label Expo 2009 allowed us to meet with the most important press manufacturers specialized in the flexo label printing as this is a new and very exciting project for us.
In May, FESPA Amsterdam is the most important trade show in Europe this year for Digital printing.

June started in Paris with "Dimension 3", a unique European meeting 100% dedicated to 3 Dimensional imaging and continued with Graphitec where our 40LPI sheets were printed on a FujiFilm flatbed Acuity.
We were present at the Dimension 3D show in Paris which was dedicated to the production of all things 3D including the latest movies, computer games systems and Fine Art photography. The movie industry and computer gaming companies are really taking 3D imagery seriously and developing cost effective techniques to give their customers the benefit of 3 dimensional products.
Some key figures of this 2009 edition:
- 1 120 visitors (200 % more compare to 2008) from 25 different countries including India, Germany, Singapore, Turkey, Finland, Korea, Thailand, South Africa, Canada, The United States
- 120 to 150 auditors a day at the conferences in a theatre of 140 seats!
- 38 exhibitors leaders and influencers in 3-D solutions
- 50 French and international speakers
This in turn will provide some really great opportunities in the promotional and packaging printing sectors. How else can you demonstrate the 3D effects of a movie or game other than through lenticular printing?
We also attended Graphitec Convertec in Paris. Here we teamed up with Fuji, demonstrating our large format (1828mm x 1200mm) 40lpi lens on a Fuji Acuity Ink jet machine with great large format results. Again large format ink jet technology has a great opportunity in the movie and games markets. I look forward to seeing lots of large format 3D posters in Cinemas in the future!
We were also present at the recent IST UV days 2009 at IST headquarters in Nurtingen, Germany. This event brings together many of the worlds major plastics printers and showing what can be achieved in terms of lenticular printing is always of real interest. During the day DPLenticular also delivers an informative presentation which takes the audience through the lenticular process - from material extrusion to print and prepress.
